Catching some big Bluefish in the Barnegat Inlet. Using a 1.5oz Bucktail and a custom 10.5' Century Slingshot rod (SS1265). The original film date of this was 5/19/16. I cut the footage down about 30 seconds to make it somewhat not boring. haha. Regardless, this is 1 of 30 Bluefish I caught this day, ranging from 9-17.5lbs.

Just a quick test I did comparing both camera recordings by running up and down stairs. Obviously the Osmo wins. Footage is bone stock, no grading.

Such a fun day! 4 hour Bass Blitz with some Bluefish in the mix. Most of the Stripers were in the 28"-35" range.

Catching Bluefish on SP Minnows, 5/13/2015. I cut down down the 4 minute reel time a little so it wasn't so boring. Haha ... Equipment: Daiwa SP Minnow sinker, 11' custom CTS Vapor Trail 1-3oz, Van Staal VS200.

Taken on 5-08-2015. After wading beyond the sandbar for a few hours, I noticed a bunch of Bluefish were still in the wash. Here I’m showing how easy it was catching them. I could’ve just dropped my plug in and had a hook up. So much fun! The bite died down once the tied came in more. I lost count after 15 gator Blues this day. Epic to say the least.

This video was taken on 5-8-2015 at Island beach State Park. Bluefish were pushing and trapping the Bunker into the wash, many were beaching themselves too. Every cast beyond the sandbar was an instant hook up for Myself and everyone around me. Most of the blues I caught were in the 12-15 pound range, largest on my Boga grip was 16.5 pounds. All top water action on plugs. Such an epic day! Wish...

What line do u recommend on a vr175? Company i bought mine from gave me 50lb power pro.ive always used 30lb on my other reels.will this affect my casting distance?

I got the reel. It is a VR 150. I tried to convert it to bail less, but I broke the one of the screw. Is there anyways to fix it?

Hey, questions for you if you don't mind? How's that slingshot surf rod handle? What's the warranty like on the rod? I've been looking at the exact same rod you have and was thinking about getting one but couldn't really find any reviews on it online. Have you tried fishing plugs with it yet? What's the sweet spot in regards to weights being thrown? What size/model Van Staal reel were you using with the rod? Any issues with rod since you owned it? Thanks,
So you left the bunker on the beach to die, or did you push them back into the water?
Hundreds were beached, dead. Nature will take it course. I was there to fish. Some locals were taking the beached bunker for bait.

Nice little vid. Did you sell the real because you were unhappy with it? Had issues? Considering this real, so i'm interested to here how it worked out or didn't work out for you.
I wanted extra cash to fund another project. I wasn't going to fish it through the winter; or at least till May. So I figured selling it was my best option at the time. Just to make a quick buck. I might get another one in the future. With that being said, I like my other VS's better. But the VR's price is great.

+RyanGeeVideo the vr is not built to be smoother, they only used less beefy components to bring down the price point, they are about the same smoothness
I know that. The VR just felt a lot smoother on reeling than my VS200. Regardless, I sold my VR not long ago.

I sold it during the winter to fund another project. I already have 2 VS's which I like better. I may get another one down the road. Time will tell. For the price their good, but overall, the VS's win.

James Zachary in Australia we call them tailor or greenbacks. They one of the safest fish to eat as they don't get a build up of mercury. Bleed them alive, skin and bone them. They are one of my favourite fish beer battered.

Lol up in NJ everyone one is too busy catching bluefish where in MD we are catching trophy stripers left a right. I got 2 on Sunday. Nice video man!
Its non stop up here with them. Really fun, but can't find the Bass bite. If I had the time, I'd hunt for them at night.
